Hi - I'm Linda Deverell, your Marriage & Civil Union Celebrant and the proud owner of 'Solana', my 1969 classic Kombi van, based on beautiful Waiheke Island.
Firstly, you need to know my professional background has been in event management, mainly events for Waiheke and Auckland City. I've even been the 'Wedding Planner' as one of the directors of Waiheke Events & Weddings Ltd in the past. So you can trust that I have the skill-set and confidence to assist in delivering a ceremony true to your wishes, while connecting with all your favourite people as they gather around to support you on this most memorable day.
I have been blessed to call this beautiful island of Waiheke my home for over 40 years, and during that time I have raised two handsome boys and married my soulmate, barefoot in the sand on our favourite beach - and would enjoy nothing more than sharing its other secret corners with people in love.
As a celebrant, I assist fun-loving couples to create days that are big on meaning and low on stress - weaving your stories and rituals into a ceremony that 100% reflects you, authentic and true. I will help shape the structure and guide the flow, so your day feels effortless - just clear sincere words with easy pacing through the legalities.
My vibe is relaxed and natural meets professional - slow down, breathe and honour what matters, from the initial no-obligation meeting to officiating over 'your forevers'.
